The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit trade association that has supported the pool, hot tub, and spa industry since 1956, representing 4,000 members worldwide across manufacturers, builders, retailers, service companies, distributors, commercial facilities, and professional affiliates. PHTA provides education and certification (including the Certified Pool & Spa Operator program and GENESIS design/engineering/construction training), standards development (ANSI/PHTA standards for pools and spas), government advocacy at the federal, state, and local level, market research, and industry events including the Pool | Spa | Patio Expo and the MasterMind Summit. Hot tub dealers can join through PHTA’s IHTA division for category-specific benefits, or as part of general PHTA retailer membership.
